Tibet - Cry of the Snow Lion

A documentary

"Ten years in the making, this award-winning documentary was filmed during a remarkable nine journeys throughout Tibet, India and Nepal. CRY OF THE SNOW LION brings audiences to the long-forbidden "rooftop of the world" with an unprecedented richness of imagery… from rarely-seen rituals in remote monasteries, to horse races with Khamba warriors; from brothels and slums in the holy city of Lhasa, to the magnificent Himalayan peaks still traveled by nomadic yak caravans. The dark secrets of Tibet’s recent past are powerfully chronicled through riveting personal stories and interviews, and a collection of undercover and archival images never before assembled in one film."

How to thank you for this? I've wanted to see this for so long; I had no idea I could access it for free on the Internet.

Oh my, that was hard to watch. But well worth it. The current situation and the history behind it is so terribly sad.

Indeed. It's probably just a matter of time until they invade Taiwan also? I guess the least we can do is to not buy 'made in China' products and kindly discourage others to do so.

Dear thecap,

I have really tried, and it's impossible where I live. I would challenge anyone in the US to go to any Wal Mart or Target or big store and come home with anything without the label 'made in China.' We can thank Bill Clinton for that, as he made China the most favored trade nation without asking for ANY concessions.

I'll investigate the situation with Taiwan, I didn't know they were in a vulnerable situation. Thanks :-D

I posted the link to Cry of the Snow Lion at the gray forum and it was very appreciated. Some hadn't seen it before, and others appreciated the opportunity to watch it again. It's in this way that we spread meritous seeds together friend Image

Yes, Taiwan is currently a free nation and a beautiful place to live, but officially China claims it as a province of the PRC. It's only a matter of time if you ask me. :|
